Build Smart Robots, Builders Day and Meet up

Does any one want to get together for a meet up and a builders day?

Im out every Sunday in the garage working on my Robot. (Villa PArk, Illinois)

What do ya think?

If you want to Weld/cut (Mig and Tig) Machine (Mini Mill and Lathe)

I only have 1 soldering iron though and a maganifer and Microscope for surface mount.

Just let me know when you want to come by to work or say hello.

Or if you want to help me work on my bot ( I need programming help)

Comment by Salvador Garcia on August 19, 2011 at 1:35pm: As you may have noticed, put up a post on the Yahoo List proposing an RBDO at W88, but had no response. We are interested in participating in your event. We can talk about the programing needed for your bot. Also, it occurred to me, if it is ok with you, to mention the RBDO at the Trossen group in the AI Class thread. If some that responded to the original message live in the area and are interested in meeting, the RBDO would be an ideal place/time to meet and talk about the AI course and the possibility of forming a study group and the possible ways we could do this.

Although somewhat futile, if it is ok with you, I (or you) can post on the Yahoo group to see if there is any interest in participating.

As for tools, no worries, we'll manage. In my case, I am more interested to see what you have and what you use it for, as my expertise in the mechanical part of robots is at level 0. :-) A good date for me is on Sept 3 or 10. I need to check, but we can leave it at either date. I need a few days to make sure that nothing of higher priority comes up.

Comment by Salvador Garcia on August 19, 2011 at 10:10pm: John, Eric just added an option in the main menu of the site to add events. If you'd like, you can add the proposed builder's day out. I still don't have a definite date for this though. It could be either of the 2 above.
