I put a bumper on it to touch the cone without knocking it over and it also tells the robot that it completed that task and go on to the next cone.   The color sensor tells it wether or not it is a cone.  If it sees the orange it knows to approach until it bumps, if the object in front of it is not orange it knows it is an obstacle to go around and then continue to GPS co-ordinates.   It is an experiment in doing Robo-Magellan without all the computer vision hardware that is hard to carry on a robot and easily defeated by strong sunlight.  So far it seems to be working but I still have a lot of testing and adjusting both physically and in programming to do.  I am also learning a new programming language and enviroment at the same time as I decided to use the Parallax Propellor as my controller.  Thee is a Propellor BOE on the robot.
