Hi,

I'm gonna build a robot for home environment for identifying objects and picking them using a robotic arm and then move it to custom location in the mapped environment.

I've previously used image processing for robosoccer in matlab in PC but never tried doing any image processing on-board. 

So to suit my need 'll IMX53 be good? and  how to proceed with it ? I mean after i get the board can i connect a monitor, keyboard on it and start writing codes for image processing, locomotion  control, sensor inputs , & robotic arm control??? 

If i'm correct this way so what should be used as the platform for writing codes for all these??

OPENCV??? if yes then where to find more finer details??
